These birdhouses were created by local artist Richard Friewd, and are available for purchase at the gallery.

Sometimes it can be difficult to find the perfect gift for a loved one, especially when the 25th is drawing nearer and nearer.

The Lassen County Arts Council has a gift shop stocked with a variety of art pieces created by local artists.

"Come support our local artists," said Denise Larimer, Administrative Assistant of LCAC, "there's plenty of gifts for your loved ones."

Larimer said they have work by several different artists including Karen Rabelos, David Holsey, Richard Friewd, Lynda Alberico and more.

They have a variety of art pieces including wooden birdhouses, jewelry sets, art prints, handmade cards, glassware and more.

"The artists put a lot of time and effort into these pieces and they make unique and one of a kind gifts," said Larimer.

Larimer even talked about two art pieces that she purchased from the shop, a lamp and a glass set, saying they are great quality pieces.

"We're also putting together a couple of art sets, which would be perfect gifts for artists," said Larimer.

If interested in checking out the LCAC gift shop, stop by the gallery at 807 Cottage Street between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
